This lock is certainly the sturdiest lock in the RV park from those I have seen and used on other 5th Wheeler's. Some reviews have said it was heavy and that is precisely why I purchased this lock over the competitors. I wanted something heavy and sturdy and this is it. Just from the shear size of this lock, I bet it would be easier for the potential thief to unbolt the King Pin Hitch and simply put on a new hitch rather than to try to cut the lock off. Another reviewer said, the lock will keep the honest people honest. I fully agree with that statement. This lock won't be easily defeated.

This is the best trailer hitch lock for your money! Our 2022 boat & trailer sit in the driveway at our lakehouse, 1 hour from our house, so I need something secure. I use a combination of 5/16" chain & locks (thick SOB's), a locking pin on the hitch AND this bad by hitch lock. No one has touched the trailer

My custom Airstream trailer has been parked in the South Bronx behind some abandoned buildings for a month while I was in jail with this lock on and so far, no problem. Seriously, I wouldn't recommend that, but this lock does provide a good layer of security that other jokes of trailer locks don't. I recommend it. But I'd also recommend other layers like securing the wheels with lug nut locks and using a 9/16" link hardened security chain through the wheels and the suspension. And parking it in an inherently safe location. And using this lock.

No lock is perfect protection, but this is the best I found. You either need to be a professional lock picker working upside down, or remove the coupler from the trailer frame. The pin that secures the cast iron cover to the lock in the ball is adjustable so you can get a tight fit. The pin is only adjustable from the inside so it can't be tampered with. Vanessa at the factory provides lightning responses to any question. Expensive, but the very best thing I could find anywhere. Great design by AMPLock!

Having read the reviews of others identifying how easy it was to cut off some of the other locks and because I have a very expensive dump trailer I went with what appears to be the best. It is shocking the weight and heft of this lock. I am not worried that my trailer will be disappearing in the middle of the night as has been happening lately. I highly recommend this lock.

I immediately noticed how by the heft alone this seems like a quality product that was ruggedly built. Installation was super easy and locked up tightly with no play. I’m hoping the downward and gel of the key keep water from entering and freezing up in the winter.

This lock work very well. I have been using it for 2 years now and they have never fail me. The build quality is good for a casting piece and the core use a nice disk retainer system with anti-drill feature. They work any penny I spend on them.
